LOGAN COUNTY TEACHER GRANTS
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Logan County High School teachers
SPONSORED BY. Each year the Solid Waste Management District provides funds for Logan County teachers to supplement school curricula with materials for enhanced environmental education or environmental science projects.
AWARD AMOUNTS. The District provides $1,500 each year through the Logan County Education Foundation to support several projects each year. Projects funded in the past several years ranged from $250 to $1,200.
HOW TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL. Teachers may apply directly to the Logan County Education Foundation at lcef@loganes.k12.oh.us.
EXAMPLES of RECENT GRANTS.
- A recent grant of $1,200 was provided to Benjamin Logan agriculture science teacher Lora Erdy and her teaching team for a project titled: “How Clean is the Air?”
- Last year a grant of $750 was provided to Benjamin Logan High School science teacher Spencer Reames and his teaching team for a project titled: “Do You See What I See?”
- A second grant of $750 was provided to Bellefontaine Middle School teachers Kris Swisher and Cindy Plank for a project titled: “Beyond the Science Textbook”.
