Hard to Recycle Materials Collection begins in Logan County June 7, 2008

A “Hard to Recycle Materials” collection service has begun in Logan County. The Solid Waste District takes these materials from Logan County residents for $5.00 per car going through the Collection Center. The materials are then either recycled or correctly destroyed.
Materials Collected Are…
This is the time to properly dispose of, or recycle, old electronics like television sets, microwave ovens, computers, printers. Also accepted are household hazardous products such as poisons, herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers, swimming pool chemicals, de-greasers, acids and bases. Bring in lead-acid batteries from cars, boats, motorcycles, and any other type of battery, used motor oil, old paint and paint products. Any device containing mercury like thermometers, mercury switches, or florescent light bulbs can be safely brought to the Collection. Scrap tires may be brought in too, but there is a small extra charge per tire. See our website for complete details.Starts June 7 through End of Summer, 2008
The HaRM (Hard to Recycle Materials) collection begins June 7 and continues on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer. You must make a reservation at this website to bring materials to the Collection Service. A map and the location of the Collection Center will be provided when you register. How do I register for the “Hard to Recycle
Materials Collection”? It is difficult & confusing to find where to make a reservation.
