Logan County Solid Waste District awards Amy Hinkle scholarship at KLCB Banquet

Amy HinkleThe Logan County Solid Waste Management District awards a scholarship each year to a Logan County graduating senior headed to college to advance their knowledge and skills in environmental sciences. Amy Hinkle, a Benjamin Logan H.S senior was awarded the $2,000 scholarship May 29 at the annual KLCB award banquet at the Hi Point Inn. Amy plans to study horticulture at Penn State University, to extend her long standing interest in growing plants, particularly flowers. Amy sells her home grown flowers at the North Street Market in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday mornings. Amy is a co-valadictorian for herJohn Bayliss graduating class at Benjamin Logan. The Solid WAste District congratulates Amy on her award and accomplishments. The District grants this $2,000 scholarship, renewable for up to four years, to provide substantial support for outstanding students who are also outstanding citizens.
