‘Keep Logan County Beautiful’ awards scholarship to Andy Bennett

Andy BennettThe ‘Keep Logan County Beautiful’ organization honored Benjamin Logan High School graduating senior Andy Bennett with a $500 scholarship. The scholarship was awarded at the annual KLCB Banquet on May 29 at the Ohio Hi Point Inn. Andy plans to attend Ohio State University to pursue studies in the biological sciences related to turf and grass management and fisheries. ‘Keep Logan County Beautiful’ is an informal coalition of industrial an commercial engineers and managers along with governmental workers and concerned citizens focused on environmental and econoomic sustainability. KLCB meets quarterly to share information on new technologies, learn about progress toward environmental goals, including zero waste initiatives. As part of its community involvement KLCB provides a $500 scholarship annually to a graduating senior persuing studies in the environmental sciences.
