Scrap Tire Grant of $150,000 secured for Logan County Engineer by Solid Waste District

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, ODNR, recently announced aSscrap tires from Great Miami River grant of $150,000 to the Logan County Engineer’s Office to add scrap tires to the highway paving mix on some of the county paving projects in 2008. The addition of the scrap tires recycles the tire material and appreciably improves the performance and life of the roadways. The Solid Waste District personnel applied for the grant with the assistance of Scott Coleman, County Engineer.
